Life has been pretty crazy, I dunno if it's good or bad sometimes!
I'm training another class for ATS, it's Worldspan, and I'm really having a blast with this bunch. It's a lot of fun! Joey's back in my class, and he's fun too. I enjoy his sense of humor.
A little bit more difficult is balancing my workload, along with what the supervisors and my bosses need of me. Training takes up 8 hours, which only leaves 1/2 hour to get stuff done. I haven't been sending my end of shift for training because.. I just run out of time.
Need to stop doing that!
Anyway! Looking to get another housemate, I hope it's Tink :D I'd love to have someone living next door that we actually felt *comfortable* having there!
Work is DRAMALLAMAs like usual. I just want to stay away from that stuff myself :p Going to try and write more in this journal (IF I DON'T GET MOCKED!)
It's almost October OMG!
i want to dress up this year. I wonder.. as what.
So we made a pitstop at the store for tanktops for
countershade and necessary things for me. Got there WIITHOUT GETTING LOST! And proceeded to have a great time even though the zoo was PACKED (Saturdays in summer will do that for you).
But, since she had the brilliant idea to do it backwards, we only had to squeeze ourselves through crowds of people a couple times and didn't have to worry about hecka long lines. Highlights of the day include
* Sandtiger sharks close enough to touch
* Polar bear diving into the water to roll around with a giant floating toy and toss it in the air and play
* Sea lion baby and sea lions barking and wrestling with one another
*Coolest shark I've ever seen that I don't know the name of (Yet!)
*Poison dart frogs
*Watching a zoo visitor pet the penguins
*Watching an adult correct their child for being rude to little people "They're no different from you", a win for parenting!
*Polar bear necklace!
The only not highlights of the day were:
*Large crowds and strollers that will NOT get out of your way
*Mr Monkey having fun jerking one ( next time, I will not look where
countershade points with that look on her face!)
Then, we headed home. Did NOT get lost, and had entirely too much sushi, and had a waiter that was flirting so much with
countershade that he offered/gave us sake, and didn't charge us for it o.o;;
Saw a rainbow on the way home too!
I got second degree burns on my shoulders because, apparently, I *am* an idiot. No reapplying after swimming around in the water like a demented porpoise. They are much better now though, they look ugly still and are shiny and peeling at the same time, but the hurt is much less :D
Had a fantastic time, AND! coming back, the boss-lady that I work next to said that she was telling her (very) talented potter husband about the things that I make out of paper.
And he wonders if I would be interested in TRADING.
OMG!
So. But. Yes. Awesome. Off work today (weekend, yay!) and eating waffles made with love and batter by
countershade because she loves me <3
No more typing because I have more to eat, and I don't want to get syrup on the keyboard. Bye!
Works for a while, breaks. Gets fixed, works for 20 mins, breaks
FAILS TO WORK.
Get given a new one! Wrong plug! :( Have
countershade 's father switch the plugs, it turns on!
Doesn't heat.
He comes BACK, and finds our fuses... fused.
Wow. Fixed that, drier works now! Yay!
Damn you dreams..
Anyway. This one involved the Fae, a spider and a hamster, the sun and moon taking the same lover and quite a bit of running and hiding and quick talking.
And now that I'm awake, I feel the need to be creative.
Hmmm.
I'll get back to you on that when I decide.
Have your seat belts fastened, and visas ready! We're in for a bumpy ride.
